IamwritingtoapplyforavisitvisatoCanada,fromDecember20,2010toFebruary9,2011,toseemyhusband.HeiscurrentlyanengineeringresearcherworkingatXXXXXUniversityinMontreal,CanadaandhewillstaytherefortwoyearsfromAugust31,2010.
Iwouldbeextremelygratefulandjoyfulifyoucouldgenerouslygrantmethevisa.Itcouldreuniteusaftermonthsoflongingandseparation,whicharethecruelesttortureforanewly-marriedcouple.AndImayalsocelebratewithhimaroundofforthcomingfestivals,includingChristmas,NewYear'sDay,ChineseSpringFestivalandmostimportantly,ourfirstweddinganniversaryonFebruary2,2011.
Imetmyhusbandtenyearsagoathighschool.Wewitnessedgrowthofeachother.Wefellinlovewitheachotherandbecamethemostimportantpersonforeachother.Beingblessedbyfriendsandfamilies,wegotmarriedonFebruary2,2010.
InthisMay,theChinesegovernmentapprovedmyhusbandthechancetobeasavisitingresearcheratConcordiaUniversity.Atthattime,IwasveryhappythathecouldhavesuchagoodchancetolearninCanada.However,afterhisdeparture,IterriblymisshimandkeepworryingabouthisdailylifeinCanada.Iameagertoknoweverythingabouthislifeinthenewenvironment.Therefore,Ihopetohaveabriefreunification,whichwouldquellthebitternessofyearningandrevitalizemeforlifeandwork.
Withaone-monthvacationapprovedbymyemployer,accumulatedannualleavedaysandChinesepublicholidaysforChineseSpringFestival,IhaveallocatedenoughtimetocoverthepossiblestayinCanada.
Ourfundisadequateformytravel,includingtheairfare,accommodation,livingexpenses,etc.Myhusbandreceivesa19,200CADannualscholarshipfromChinesegovernmentforhisvisitresearch.SavingsfrommypastworkwouldbeanotherresourceasGermanteacherandtranslator.
In2006,IspentoneyearinGermanyasanexchangestudent(pleaserefertotheattacheddocuments).ThenIreturnedtoChinaandobtainedmyfirstjobasaGermanteacher.Afteryearsofpractice,Ihaveacquiredextensiveskillandsocialnetworkinthisprofession.NowmyworkfocusesontheareaofeducationalandculturalexchangebetweenGermanyandChina.IlovemycareerandIbelievethatIcouldhaveaverybrightfutureinmycompany.SoIwillcomebacktoChinatocontinuemyworkassoonastheshort-termvisitisfinished.Besides,myhusbandandIarethe“OnlyChild”inourownfamiliesandIwoulddefinitelyreturnhometotakecareofourparents.
